Aflexi @HostingCon09, Washington D.C.

After a year of development and enhancement, we were proud to present our “baby” to the hosting world on August 11th, 2009 at HostingCon09, in Washington D.C. It took us about twenty-seven hours to arrive there from Kuala Lumpur, with two transits in between at Seoul, Korea and Atlanta, USA. The long journey was of course very tiring, but we were all excited about the launch.

Meet us at HostingCon 2009 @ Washington DC booth #128

We are headed to Washington DC this Saturday (Kuala Lumpur), and estimated to touch down at 14:59 (DCA) on the 9th of August! It's going to be a long flight.

Drop by to our booth #128 to check out our CDN Software, you will get firsthand experience with our intuitive CDN Management Solution!

Look forward to seeing you guys!

Collaborative CDN - the third force in CDN?

Collaboration? Is that going to shape the future of CDN?

Wisdom of crowd isn’t a new thing but lately it has been getting way too much traction that people have to come up with a term for it, namely, crowdsourcing. BusinessWeek reportedly LG has got itself a new cell phone design based on the idea of crowdsourcing for just $20,000.

Aflexi gets MSC status!

We are proud to announce our recent certification of the "Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) Status" from the MDEC (Multimedia Development Corporation).

This internationally recognized certification is part of the Ninth Malaysia Plan to bridge the country's digital divide in the society while providing investment opportunities. It is also our contribution to the Malaysian knowledge economy, also known as the k-economy. With this, our expertise can be leveraged upon for purposes such as corporate training and the implementation of cost effective content delivery network upgrades.

Updates from career fair!

The career fair was crowded but the quality of the crowd was left to be desired, we think that it was waste of time and resources. We have noticed that Malaysia has produced abundant of IT graduates but hardly anyone that can produce anything at all.

A lot of the graduates do not even know how to write a good resume; they did not put any effort into researching writing an effective resume that can impress their future employees.

For example:

We are at the JobsDB Career Fair!

Booth j2164, Putra World Trade Centre.

Friday 15th May to Sunday 17th May.

Event: Karnival Kerjaya & Keusahawanan Kebangsaan 2009 "Largest career and entrepreneur fair"

Start Time: 15 May at 09:00
End Time: 17 May at 19:00

Where: Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur.

Meet me at Webhosting Day 2009!

I'll be attending Webhosting Day 2009 @ Cologne, Germany this 18th - 20th March 2009.

If you wish to meet up with me to have a quick chat, tell jokes or have a serious business discussion, please email webhostingday@aflexi.net to make an appointment!

Updates, Changes and Launch

I haven't been able to update the blog lately because we have been real busy here in getting things out. We had a minor setback that prevented us from releasing the software in January but now everything is on track for April launch.

I have just returned from a month long business trip from the States last Monday (2nd March) and gathered a lot of feedback for our solution. I spoke with more than 10 datacenters regarding our solution and the benefits. Their feedback was just phenomenal.
